The August holidays will soon be upon us when school children will be home for an extended period and as is customary, officials of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport in collaboration with the National Sports Commission have organized a summer programme dubbed ‘Learn to Swim’ from July 14-August 22 next at the Colgrain Swimming Pool, Camp Street, Georgetown.
The programme is designed for children ages 6-16 years and the registration period commences Monday June 23 and closes on Friday July 04.
Interested persons could pick up registration forms at the Colgrain Pool, Camp and Middle streets or the National Aquatic Centre, Liliendaal between 09:00-15:00hrs daily. Contact persons are Desiree Cummings (226-0387) and Abraham Watson (222-1306 / 649-5562). Persons are also asked to register early as selection will be done on a first come first served basis.
