The athletes had to complete the course, which went from YMCA to just around Liliendaal, as a pre-requisite for points; the six times from each athlete on the teams were totalled and the winner was rewarded. Rising Stars Athletics Club finished fourth.
The first place team pocketed $60,000; while second took home $40,000 and third $30,000. Each of the participants received a T-Shirt and an International Olympic Committee (IOC) Certificate of participation.
President of the GOA, K. A. Juman Yassin, thanked the athletes and novelty participants for the effort they made at the International Olympic Day Annual Jog/Walk and 10km Team Run in the midst of inclement weather yesterday morning.
