Letter to the Sports Editor…Sanasie, Raj Singh present when Justice Bovell-Drakes ordered DCB factions be restrained from acting

Dear Sports Editor,
I refer to the article written by one Jairam Ramjit in your newspaper dated 5th June, 2014 and wish to clarify the deliberate inaccuracies therein.
With respect to the Court action, K. Mangal applied for an injunction as Secretary of the Raj Singh Faction of the Demerara Cricket Board (DCB).
Raj Singh and Anand Sanasie Secretary and Vice President of Demerara Cricket Board respectively in 2009/11 carefully planned to usurp the Presidency of the DCB from then President Mr. Bissoondyal Singh by holding illegal elections at Wales instead of participating in the official elections held by the President Bissoondyal Singh at Lusignan on the ECD.
At this bogus election Krisnchand Mangal was elected Secretary of the breakaway faction; Mangal in this capacity applied for and obtained an injunction against the Bissoondyal Singh Faction.
In his ruling at the interlocutory stage, Justice Bovell-Drakes clearly stated that both factions were restrained from holding themselves out to be the Demerara Cricket Board or carrying out duties or functions of the DCB.  He stressed that Mangal and his faction cannot take advantage of the injunctive relief his ruling presented since the matter will be going to normal course. Justice Bovell-Drakes on a query from Ms. Emily Dodson then instructed Mangal, Raj Singh, Anand Sanasie and Lawyer Roysdale Ford that the ruling given was indeed an injunction and that they must so inform the other members of their faction.
The Judge was very clear in his pronouncement that neither faction could act.  I was there and I am positive that Mr. Jairam Ramjit was never in court during those proceedings, unless he and Anand Sanasie is one and the same person.  It is obvious that his name is being used in the same manner that Intikab Sankar’s name was used.
To suggest that the Hon. Judge said one thing then wrote something else in the order is contemptuous since there were in excess of fifteen persons in court who could clarify what was said.
Mr. Raphael is an authority on cricket who, could defend himself and represent any issue on cricket.  I am willing at any time to meet with Jairam Ramjit, Intikab Sankar, Raj Singh, Anand Sanasie and the other writers individually or collectively at any forum of their choice to debate on any issue of cricket that I have written about and beyond.
