Marian Academy, St Joseph’s, PC, Bishop’s, St Rose’s among winners
Regional Conference Tournament in the Youth Basketball Guyana (YBG) tournament continued last Saturday, June 14, with 5 games in the Georgetown and East Coast Conferences.
The Regional and NSBF are sponsored by Digicel Guyana, Edward B. Beharry and Company Ltd and Banks DIH.
Marian Academy, St Joseph’s, President’s College, Bishop’s and St Rose’s were among the teams on winners’ row in last Saturday’s action. Shakeel Garnett (PC) scored a game high 21pts and had 2 rebounds in his team’s triumph over Plaisance Academy. Nathan Saul of St Rose’s poured in 18pts to see his team to a win over Marian Academy in the Under19 department.
The first Regional Conference final is set to be contested between the University of Guyana and President’s College for the East Coast title shortly.
