Blairmont Community Centre have made it through to the quarterfinals of the 2014 Tenelec Inc. Under-15 Club Cricket
Competition in Berbice after gaining full points from Achievers in their final Zone A (West Berbice) preliminary match to end with the maximum 36 points, topping the zone in the process.
Spearheading the victory was pacer Talim Inshan, who firstly took 6 for 12 from 7 overs to bowl out Achievers for an embarrassing 26 in their first innings. Blairmont replied with 108 for 5 declared. Inshan then returned to take 4 for 11 from 7 overs in the second innings to see Achievers demolished for 29 to end with a match haul of 10 wickets for 23 runs.
In zone C (Lower Corentyne), Rose Hall Town Farfan and Mendes registered an outright victory against Port Mourant to end the preliminary rounds with 30 points to top their zone and at the same time qualify for the quarterfinals. After they scored 127 for 3 declared in their first innings, their left arm spinner Keith Simpson, who represented Berbice at the Under-15 level this year, took 6 for 13 from 8 overs. He was supported by off spinner Brandon Corlette with 4 for 34 to bowl out Port Mourant for 70 in their first innings. Following on they feared worst in their second innings making only 30. Corlette took 3 for 5 to end with match figures of 7 for 39.

In Achievers 1st innings they made 26 with Talim Inshan 6 for 12, Azad Ishahak 2 for 14 and second innings, they fell for 29 with Inshan 4 for 11 and Seon Glasgow 3 for 15. In Blairmont only innings, they made 108 for 5 declared with Sachin Veerasammy 31 and
Adin Shoetyah 28.
At Area H, Rose Hall Town Farfan and Mendes beat Port Mourant by an innings and 27 runs. They batted first and made 127 for 3 declared with Junior Sinclair 45, Surendra Budhoo 39 and Keith Simpson 32. In reply Port Mourant made 70 in their first innings with Keith Simpson taking 6 for 13 and Brandon Corlette 4 for 34. They did worst in their second innings making only 30 with Corlette taking 3 for 5, Samuel Lewis 3 for 8 and Mahendra Charran 3 for 12.
