Regent Street businessman, Inshaan Ally, 65, of Lot 20 Peters Hall, East Bank Demerara, is nursing
gunshot injuries to his left hand after he was reportedly shot yesterday during a suspected robbery outside his place of business yesterday.
The injured man was identified as the proprietor of Styles Palace, located at Regent and King Streets, Georgetown.
He was said to be standing outside his place of business around 17:00 hours when he was shot. Eyewitnesses recalled that the man was walking towards his car, when a lone gunman emerged in a white Toyota Raum motorcar and opened fire.
Ally was assisted by persons standing nearby. He was taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital, where he was treated for his injuries.
Police are continuing their investigations to determine the circumstances of the shooting.
