Travelspan executives to meet in Guyana
…seek to add more planes to route
Returning airline, Travelspan, is seeking to add more planes to the Guyana/New York route. The company in a public missive said that it is seeking to make Guyana a hub for international travel and executives of three partnering companies are scheduled to meet in Guyana next week to discuss plans to expand services.

The missive said that Executives from Travelspan’s US headquarters and executives from Vision Airlines and Jetran International will be meeting in Guyana to discuss expansion plans for its Guyana Operations.
Vision Airlines and Jetran International officials will be in Guyana for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Both Vision Airlines and Jetran, who serve as the financier to the airlines’ operations, are US registered companies that own and lease aircrafts worldwide for charters, cargo and private use.
“The executives’ plans are to expand the current operation in Guyana by adding additional aircrafts and to develop Guyana as a hub for international travel.”
Rob Binns, a member on the Carter Center Board, and member of Travelspan’s Board of Directors, will also be in Guyana.
TravelSpan in collaboration with Vision Airlines currently offers a wide body 767/200 and 767/300 aircraft for its nonstop service between Georgetown and New York.
The company only recently introduced a promotional fare for summer of $399 one way and $586 round trip from Georgetown to New York.
Despite the volatility of the airline industry, TravelSpan said that it remains committed to Guyana and the Guyanese people. The executives have assured that TravelSpan is here for the long haul, and they are certain that they will receive the support of the people.
