Sophia Warriors will face Campbellville Secondary School when the South Turkeyen Sports Committee (STSC) ten/10 tapeball cricket competition concludes today at the National Cultural Centre tarmac. Trophies and medals are being donated by P and P Insurance, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport Dr. Frank Anthony and Trophy Stall Bourda Market.
Meanwhile, the STSC and the Guyana Veteran Legion (GVL) will be hosting a pre Father’s Day nine-team dominoes tournament tomorrow at GVL Hall Carifesta Avenue at 18:30 hrs. Teams from East Coast and East Bank Demerara as well as Georgetown are expected to take part. Entrance fee is $6,000. At stake are trophies, medals and cash prizes donated by True Value, Gift Centre of Charity Essequibo, Dr. Frank Anthony, George Gomes, Joseph Harmon, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Robert Persaud and Roysdale Forde.
The competition is being organized by Johnny Barnwell, Carlton Cato and Clifton Babb.
