Beautiful! Looking good! Sexy! Hot! Pretty! You are so good looking! Lovely couple! You look amazing! He so cute! Sweet! Love it! You look adorable! Princess! You shine like a diamond!
These are some of the comments that appear on Facebook next to the pictures that persons put on their timelines or post to other person’s timelines. A great many of the comments are justified but sometimes these comments are made just to make somebody else feel good. They are not always true!
There are some images that are put on Facebook that do not match the fantastic comments and praises that they receive.
Beauty, they say, lies in the eye of the beholder but there are some persons who go overboard in complimenting some of the pictures posted on Facebook. A great many of the so-called compliments are lies because the images do not conform to the compliments that are paid.
I have seen, for example, pictures of women who are anything but sexy. Yet, they receive hundreds of compliments telling them how hot they are looking. And a great many of them believe this sort of nonsense and continue to post less than attractive images of themselves on Facebook.
I would like to urge all those who make comments on Facebook to be honest. Do not tell someone that they are looking pretty or hot when you know that they are not. It is nice to see photographs of friends and relatives on Facebook but lay off the icing. Stop all the lying!
When someone looks good tell them. When they are not, keep your comments to yourselves. Do not fool people into believing that they are looking good when you know fully well that they are not. They may take you too seriously and may deceive themselves into believing they are beauty queens and hunks when they are not. Be honest with your Facebook friends!
Another problem that I have with Facebook is that some individuals seem to want to post a running commentary of their entire day. Wherever they go, they have to advertize it. They’re going to the gym, they announce it on Facebook. They’re going to the grocery, they announce. They’re going to a wedding, they want the whole world to know. They are lying in bed and they are snapping selfies.
Please when you are in bed, do not take out too many pictures. The worst image of all is usually your face when you wake up in the morning. Yet there are some individuals who love to post their ‘wake-up face” on Facebook. Come on guys, have some consideration for your friends!
Why do some persons believe that all of their Facebook friends are interested in where they are every single minute of the day? People have better things to do than to be logging into your itinerary! So give us a break, now and then.
We will want to see the important things, but not everywhere you go and everything you see becomes our business. It is not. So lay off of the running commentaries of your activities.
Be choosy about what you put on Facebook. Other people have a life too. They are not always interested in what you eat, how you dress and what you do every minute of the day. Give us a break!
The other thing that can be disgusting is the sharing of quotations. Look, there are many wonderful quotes which are worth sharing with friends.
But this Facebook thing simply drowns you in quotations. People are sharing quotations like it is going out of style. There has to be some limit on the number of quotations that you should share. One per day is good enough. Keep the other fifteen that you want to post for some other time in the year. Do not litter my timeline with quotation after quotation, most of which may be inspiring to you but mean very little to me.
And please do not put what you cook on my page because while I may like what you cook, most of my Facebook friends are too far away for me to reach them to enjoy some of that food. And those who are nearby are too damn mean to invite me over for a bite.
Love you all! Well, not all but most of you!
