Dear Editor,
I reside in the community of Beterverwagting/Triumph a community which is plagued by a very high incidence of unsolved house breaks. The latest one to which I am privy occurred last Thursday night and after three visits to the Beterverwagting Police Station the members of the Prince family of Republic Drive Triumph are still awaiting a Police investigator to visit their residence.
Juxtapose the Police response to the invasion of that family’s home alongside that which happened two weeks ago when Elton McRae was arrested by four armed Police men who entered his house, because he dared to protest by blocking the street with debris that persons dumped in front of his house.
I hope that the Commissioner of Police takes note and understand that residents of BV/Triumph feel unprotected and violated by the Police at BV.
