Crown Mining Supplies Golf Tournament set for today

The inaugural Crown Mining Supplies Golf Tournament will take place today at the Lusignan Golf Club course from 12:00pm.
Managing Director of Crown Mining, Mr. Pur Persaud, in his statement said he goal is to promote golf in Guyana and is keen on seeing youths take an interest to the sport.
Some 45 golfers have already registered to take part in the tournament including Mr. Persaud.
The tournament will award players in all 3 flights and also an overall best net as the winner, closest to the pin and longest drive will also be awarded.  Crown Mining Supplies also indicated that there will be other prizes up for grabs.
Meanwhile, the LGC has announced that Guy Griffith has been appointed Public Relations Officer.  The club wishes him well in his new position as he promotes golf in Guyana.
And following this weekend action another tournament will be staged the following weekend at the Lusignan Golf Club on June 14th.
