The Linden Amateur Basketball Association has named twenty players to attend sessions from which the Linden Under19 team will be named to face a Presidential side as part of the supporting card for the Linden against Berbice men’s clash in the Guyana Amateur Basketball Federation’s Inter Association championships, which conclude Saturday at the Mackenzie Sports Club Hard Court on Saturday in Linden.
The players named are to represent Linden with the intention of being called to the national squad which will be selected to train for the upcoming Inter Guiana Games later this year against French Guiana and Suriname.
The players are: Daniel Anthony, Amaniki Buntin, Akani Wilson, Dellon Patterson, Isaiah Semple, Nigel Plowell, Keifer Tappin, Isaiah Haynes, Dennis Niles, Daniel Anthony, Ron Profitt, Allister Lewis, Odley Inniss, Tyrese Mitchell, Terron Welch, Travin Dryden, Vibert Benjamin, Branley Griffith, Wayne Wilson and Keon Wills.
The teams had a training session yesterday and another is set for today from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at the Mackenzie Sports Club Hard Court under coaches Malcolm James and Kevin Bonnett.
