Ramo Malone stroked a fine half century as Dynamic Security defeated Traders and Distributors Inc by 35 runs when the King’s Jewellery World 10/10 softball tournament commenced on Wednesday night last at Thirst Park.
Batting first Dynamic Security scored 126-7 in 10 overs. Malone led with 56, while Azeem Azeez and Randolph Perreira assisted with 17 and 15 respectively. Joseph Singh and Harripaul Dhanraj claimed two wickets each.
Traders and Distributors replied with 91-8 in 10 overs. Ryan Benjamin made 38 and Ryan Persaud 24; Yunnis Yusuf grabbed 3-9 and Perreira 2-11.
Khan’s Trading Enterprise overcame Ramchan Auto Spares by 18 runs. Khan’s Trading took first strike and managed 155-4 in 10 overs. Anand Rooplall scored 63, Rajesh Reddy 25 and Patrick Khan 23. Ramchan Auto Spares responded with 137-5 in 10 overs. Anand Persaud cracked 36, Dellon Sanichar and Andre Gomes 34 each. Sheldon Perch took 2-26.
Brickery got the better of Diamond Trading by 37 runs. Brickery rattled up 125-9 in 10 overs, batting first. Kelvin Kanhai top scored with 29, Antonio Juman made 24 and Christopher Bedesi 22.
Diamond Trading were skittled out for 88 in 10 overs in reply. Patrick Khan and Juman captured two scalps apiece.
Princess Hotel beat Stockfeeds in a super over eliminator. Princess batted first and scored 131-7 to which Stockfeeds responded with 131-4. Stockfeeds scored eight in the super over and Princess replied with 9.
