Plans are moving ahead for the staging of the Inaugural Star Sports Independence 10/10 Day/Night softball cricket Festival which is slated for Sunday at the No. 5 Sports Ground, West Coast Berbice.
On board are Nand Persaud and Company Limited (the home of Karibee Rice) and Jai Sign’s and Designs of Georgetown. According to the coordinators, several top teams from across Guyana have already given their commitment to participate.
The Festival will be played on a knock-out basis with round arm bowling being the format of the day. There will be over $200,000 in cash and trophies up for grabs and the competition starts at 09:00hrs.
Spectators will benefit from side attractions which are being put in place presently so as to make it a day of grand family entertainment. Supporting the event also are CellPhonix, Blair Computer Solutions, S. Deonarine Real Estate and Valuation Services and Bhagwan’s Optical Services.
