Everybody know that dem kantractah doing ‘kok’ wuk fuh big, big money. Dem does build road, bridges, koker and even sea wall. Some of dem things does bruck up overnight.
When election come round Bee Kay and Zero de Nauth does get nuff contract. Dem does only smooth de road and people does believe that de government nice, that it give dem brand new road. Three months later de road wuss that wheh it been.
And dem does vex when people talk. Yesu print a book bout heself. All dem who talk, praise he. But he seh that since he was a li’l boy de poor people had it rough because de White people government nevah do nutten fuh dem.
Now he get he own black people government and dem doing wuss that wha de white man do. Sam been deh and he been at de head table. He sit down next to Yesu and hear everything.
Everybody see how he twitch he face, screw he mouth, and down he head when Yesu seh that de government ain’t doing nutten fuh poor people.
Dem boys sit down because dem expect Yesu fuh give Sam a chance fuh respond as is de norm because politicians does always have de last say. Wasn’t so last night. Yesu had de last say.
Sam get vex and people know he did vex because he walk way without saying goodnight. He refuse to eat and drink. That is something unlike Sam. Dem boys seh that he don’t miss food. De man didn’t even wait fuh a copy of de book but Yesu seh that he gun send a copy anyhow. He seh he gun send couple sandwich and a drink too.
Dem boys seh that Yesu shoulda give de man a chance to talk back. Yesu seh that he agree. Next time.
Dem boys seh that if Sam did get to talk that woulda been fair game. That fat crook, Brazzy,  gun get he chance at fair game. He gun get old and all wha he do he gun pay for. Dem boys does dream bout nuff thing wha gun happen to he and all dem scamps. He deputy gun get touch up too.
Dem boys seh that it comes a time when a woman just has to trust her husband.
Dem dream that she go home late one night and quietly open the door to she bedroom. From under the sheets she see four legs instead of two. She grab a bat and starts lashing up de sheet as hard as she can.
Leaving the covered bodies groaning, she goes to the kitchen to have a drink. As she enters, she sees her husband there, reading de Waterfalls paper.
“Hi, babe”, he says. “You parents have come to visit us, so l let them stay in our bedroom.    Did you say,  Hi?”
Talk half and somebody gun drink poison by this afternoon.
