The Youth Basketball Guyana Regional Conference Tournament tipped off last Saturday with 5 games in the Georgetown & East Coast Conferences at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall.
The cross conference format to be known as ‘Game Day Saturday’ will see teams from these two power conferences, playing in zone, as well as cross over games every Saturday at the CASH, until the June 21, when the Finals matchup in each conference zone is expected to be set.
The Regional Conference Tournament is the qualifying rounds for teams hoping to play in the National Schools Basketball Festival from July 6-13, 2014, and is sponsored by Digicel Guyana, Edward B. Beharry and Company Ltd and Banks DIH.
Conference games will continue this Saturday at the same venue with seven games scheduled to play from 15:00hrs.
