Businessman treats dozens on Mother’s Day
In paying tribute to mothers on Mother’s Day, Businessman Indarjit Sukdeo who is also a member of the La Jalousie Estate Mandir donated dozens of food hampers yesterday to mothers at the Zeelught Shiva Mandir, Essequibo Islands-West Demerara.

According to the businessman, he believes in giving back to society and Mother’s Day is the perfect time for society to honour, remember and give back to the Moms.
“For all the mothers, mothers by blood, mothers by heart, a blessing to you on this Mother’s Day…Blessed be to all mothers who have come into our lives, whose kindness, care and loving remain with us to guide. Your inspiration in us made us strive in every way, especially to remember helping others, makes our day,” Sukdeo emphasised.
According to Pandit Vijay Doobay, the event is a collaboration between the Mandir and the magnanimous businessman to host a giving ceremony to reward mothers.
“We believe in our little token of giving to them. We are focusing more on building strength and that is why food hampers were given,” he explained.
Some of the mothers were emotional when they collected the hampers and expressed gratitude.
