Country Boys defeated Road Warriors by seven wickets in the final of the major league segment of the AR Auto Sale Indian Arrival Day softball tournament which was contested on Sunday last at Lusignan.

Road Warriors, who drew the bye to the final, batted first and scored 61-4 in five overs with Rayan Gopaul scoring 28 (4×6), Sachin Ramcharran took 2-28. Country Boys replied with 66-3. Ramcharran was given the Man of the Match award donated by former Guyana and West Indies cricketer Joe Solomon. Ramcharran, who scored 47 against 7 Star, also took the best batsman prize as well as the best bowling accolade with 3-2 versus Success.
Country Boys overcame Success in the semi-final played earlier. Success took first strike and managed 32 all out in five overs. Ramcharran grabbed 5-2. Country Boys, who received a trophy for their efforts, responded with 33 in 1.2 overs.
Fifteen teams took part in the competition.
Brickery got the better of Anso 7 by nine wickets in the final of the minor league division. Anso 7 scored 35 all out in four overs, batting first. Antonyo Jhaman claimed 3-13 for Brickery who reached their target in 3.3 overs, ending on 37-1. The category was sponsored by Chatterpaul Balkissoon.
