Guyanese players Heimraj Resaul, Kalyca Fraser and Jordon Beaton won their respective engagements yesterday and are in contention to make the main draw when they contest their final round on matches today in the Antigua Junior Invitational Tennis Championships currently being played on the island.
Resaul won both of his games first defeating Kimell Azille (Antigua) 4/2, 4/2, before returning to beat Adrian Biajnauht (USVI) 4/1 4/0.
Beaton played one match and he won against Tiger Tyson (Ant) 2/4, 4/0 (10/7), while Fraser got past Cheima Norris (Ant) 4/0, 4/2.
Sarah Klautky lost both of her matches to Ashley Bersmah (Ant) 4/1, 4/2 and Kishaundah Roman (St. Croix) USVI 4/0, 4/0.
According to Coach Shelly Daly-Ramdyhan all the matches are being played in the best of three format and short sets (4 games) and a tie break game to decide the winner.
Klautky will play in the consolation round for a position.
