The Bartica Community Centre ground is bracing for what is anticipated to be electrifying T20 rivalry come this weekend when the semi finals and final of the 3rd Aruwai Mining T20 competition comes off.
Having been postponed for quite some time due to circumstances beyond the control of the organisers, DC Promotions, fans can brace themselves for some entertaining and enthralling cricket this Saturday and Sunday at the Bartica Community Centre ground with One Million in cash at stake for the winner.
New Line Cavaliers will come up against South Essequibo in the first semi final from 18:00hrs on Saturday with the other semi featuring Impact Orient of Bartica and Wakenaam.
Impact Orient’s quest for the top prize would be spearheaded by Adrian Branford, the hard hitting Motilall, Jermaine Dover, Raphael Algree, Ghandi, Andrew Zaban and K. Chesney. Wakenaam can spring a surprise on the night and would be looking to Wayne Osbourne, Richardo Adams, Imran Khan, Nazir Mohammed, Navishal Pooran and Sadesh Raghunauth to guide their ambitions for victory.
New Line Cavaliers will be fancying their chances of winning the competition and will be led by the experienced former Guyana player Andre Perceval with support from Navindra Persaud, Dayanand Roopnarine, Avinash Sookdeo, Boodan Baksh and Troy Gonsalves.
The losing finalist will pocket $500,000 while the winner of the third place game between the semi final losers, will receive $250,000.
The Most Valuable Player will ride away with one motorcycle compliments of B&M Mining. DC Promotions are promising an entertaining time this weekend and will be pulling out all the stops to ensure fans are satisfied.
