GCA/Brain Street U-15 tourney GNIC, DCC are latest winners
Guyana National Industrial Corporation (GNIC) and Demerara Cricket Club A recorded victories when the Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA)/Brain Street U-15 tournament continued yesterday with two matches.At Gandhi Youth Organisation (GYO), GNIC overcame the host by nine wickets. GYO batted first and scored 144 all out in 40.4 overs.

Pradesh Balkishun stroked 73 (10×4,3×6) and shared in a fourth wicket stand of 64 with Chandra Mohan who made 14. Ronald Williams was the only other batsman that reached double figures with 11 as Christopher Campbell snared 3-11, Dwayne Dick 3-46 and Joshua Persaud 2-25. GNIC replied with 144-1 in 16.5 overs. Kurt Lovell slammed 62 (9×4,3×6) while Persaud scored 51 (4×4,3×6) not out. The pair added 132 for the opening stand before they were separated. Lovell was the other not out batsman on 11.At DCC, the host A team defeated Transport Sports Club (TSC) by four wickets. TSC managed 122 all out in 42.1 overs taking first strike. Adrian Hinds scored 20 and Mark Baptiste 15. Ashmead Nedd captured 3-22 and Otto Jones 2-18. DCC A responded with 123-6 in 31 overs. Bhojnarine Singh cracked 32, Sagar Hathiramani supported with 31 not out and Riaz Ally 21. Joel Spooner grabbed 3-28 and Anthony Antonio 2-17. The competition continues today.
