A country does mek money from taxes and Guyana is no different. De only thing different is that Guyana taxing people who pay so much tax that people does call dem taxi. Long time was de public servants who use to pay. Even before dem get pay de government use to tek out dem tax.
Up comes Jagdeo wid he brains because de tax money was too small suh he decide fuh squeeze dem people some more. He introduce VAT. Dem boys seh that de VAT ain’t got bottom because de more money dem putting in is de more it want.
That same VAT embarrassing Donald. He like de money that it collecting but at de same time he got a heart and he want ease de people. Of course, before he tun president people begin fuh ask he if he can’t ease de pressure. He mek a promise that he gun select a team to examine de VAT. Is nearly two years and de team still examining.
Dem boys seh that dem sitting down and watching how de money coming in and going out. Is like de days when dem king and dem lords use to rule de land. De king sit down and de lords and knights would go round de country and collect fuh de king. That is why Jagdeo start VAT. He had all dem shop man and Khurshid collecting money fuh he.
Now dem boys see that dem got to pay more. This time is from de fuel. Jagdeo did tax de fuel and gasoline. De tax suh high that at one time people did even stop driving car. At one time even dem ambulance couldn’t drive. That is why when people use to call fuh ambulance dem never use to get an answer. Is de tax pun de gasoline and dieseline.
Things ain’t change and de other day Ash Knee call Donald fuh tell he that de country got nuff money and that he shouldn’t worry too much bout no budget cut. He seh that once Guyana got car it gun mek money from gas.
But Donald know something wrong because every day de dollar losing value. Dem boys seh that de big ones thief suh much that dem thief out de value fuh de money.
Talk half and beg Donald fuh ease wid de VAT .
