Singh (73 and 2 for 8), Hinds 61 and Smith (6 for 19) see Tucber Park through
Andrews (86 and 4 for 19), Mickle (56 and 4 for 6) help Police to 243 runs victory
The 2014 Elizabeth Styles under-19 50 overs cricket competition, organised by the Berbice Cricket Board continued recently with victories for Tucber Park, Police and Cotton Tree Die Hard.
Martin Singh slammed 73(6 fours and 4 sixes) and Berbice under-19 batsman Hakeem Hinds 61 (6 fours) to steer Tucber Park to 255 In 44.2 overs against Goed Bananen Land. The former Guyana under-15 pacer Nial Smith took 6 for 19 from 10 overs and Singh bowling offspin, 2 for 8 to bowl out Goed Bananen Land for 64.
Berbice under-19 batsman Leon Andrews hit 86 (4 fours and 3 sixes), Kwesi Mickle 56 (5 fours and 1 six) and Marlon Shepherd 46 were the top scorers for Police in their total of 285 in 44.3 overs against Rose Hall Community Centre, after that Mickle and Andrews came back with their offspin and took 4 for 6 from 2.5 overs and 4 for 19 from 9 overs respectively to skittle out Rose Hall for a paltry 42, giving Police a huge 243 runs victory.
Munesh Hemraj scored 50 and pacer Andre Chesney took 4 for 15 from 4 overs to help Cotton Tree Die Hard to a 121 runs victory over D’Edward.

At the Rose Hall Welfare Ground in Canje, Police beat Rose Hall Community Centre by 243 runs.
Police 285 in 44.3 overs with Leo Andrews 86, Kwesi Mickle 56, Marlon Shepherd 46, Kris Bahadur 3 for 52, Latchman Ramoutar 3 for 55, Keon Isaacs 2 for 57.
Rose Hall Community Centre 42 in 17.5 overs with Kwesi Mickle 4 for 6 Leon Andrews 4 for 19.
At D’Edward, Cotton Tree Die Hard beat D’Edward by 121 runs.
Cotton Tree Die Hard 182 in 31 overs with Munesh Hemraj 50, Raymond Braithwaite 4 for 45.
D’Edward 61 in 14 overs with Andre Chesney 4 for 15, Leonard Seetayah 2 for 15, Fizul Mohamed 2 for 16.
