Clauduin Alinsworth with the maximum 18 games won the Ministry of Home Affairs King Dominoes competition, sponsored by North American Life and Fire Insurance Company (NALICO).
Playing at the Paradise Sports Club Meeting Room on Sunday last, Alinsworth was too good to handle, winning ahead of Motilall Ram who tallied 15 games; the third place was taken by Aubrey Burrows who managed 13 games.
Eight players started the tournament which saw defending champion Ulric Edwards knocked out early in the piece.
Ministry of Home Affairs Sports Coordinator Mr. Ovid Glasgow DSM, who organised the competition, informed that this is the third year it is being held to aid in fostering a good relationship along sporting lines.
Glasgow praised the support of subject Minister Clement Rohee who he said has always been encouraging sports activities among staff members of the ministry.
Gratitude was also extended to NALICO for providing a trophy for the champion. Sales representative Benson Gomes was on hand to hand over the trophy to Clauduin Alinsworth.
