Former GDF Sergeant reaches out to Mabaruma
Former Force Sergeant Major in the Guyana Defence Force, Elvis Simon and his wife, Simone, have brought about some significant changes in the Mabaruma, Region One area.
The soon to launched resource centre
The couple who founded a not for profit organisation, ‘Anointed Hearts International Outreach’ in 2006 has been visiting the region since 2009.
They have been constructing and setting up an outreach and resource centre to help enhance the lives of the people of the surrounding communities.
Simone who has been on the ground since 2013, is preparing the headquarters for a launching sometime in May/June 2014
She stated that members of the community have been very supportive.
“They are also excited and are anticipating the opening of the help centre.
In addition she emphasized that their major focus will be on the children and youths of the community.
