Dear Sir,
Before I divulge the harsh but sad realities of the situation as it unfolded, in the publication of an article appearing in your newspapers (K.N. 25.03.14) captioned “Brazil’s Soa Raimundo FC for April showdown in Guyana.
First and foremost, may I, enquire who is C&R Promotions? Where did they originate from and have they to date fulfilled all the constitutional and contractual requirements, pertaining to hosting a visiting club?
Secondly, I shudder to accept that the Guyana Football Federation, who has the mandate to grant the relevant approval to facilitate the tour, in addition to seeking approval from the CBF (Brazilian Federation) to date has not issued a press release. Meanwhile, with the visitors playing in the feature match of a doubleheader at the GCC ground, Bourda, against Slingerz FC of the WDFA, on April 5. Would the GFA, in whose Association the matches are being played confirm to the following, since 2 of its affiliates are involved.
1) Medical Personnel and an Ambulance are present at the venue:
2) Adequate lighting and Security:
3) Proposed prize monies or a letter of commitment from a reputable sponsor(s) is within the possession of the GFF, as a guarantee of payment:
4) The imposition of the relevant levy fees:
5) Executive members of the GFA Finance Committee overlooking the ticket sales and collection, which would be reflected in a financial statement:
6) A copy of the contract/agreement between the GFF and C&R Promotions:
Finally, in accordance to the article’s publication “Brazil’s Soa Raimundo Football Club, is the current champion of the State of Roraima”. However, upon perusing the internet two clubs with the same name are listed. One emanating from “Manaus in Amazonas, founded on November 18, 1918, with the other from Santarém, Para, founded on January 9, 1944”. At no given juncture within my perusal, is mention of either of the two clubs as the current champions of the State of Roraima, is made. Given the complicated structure of Brazilian Football, maybe, C&R Promotions can offer a meaningful insight into which category the visiting club participates? First Division, Série B; C, or D which deals with Promotion and Relegation! Or is there another club with a similar name out of Belem/Boa Vista? Unless total sponsorship is guaranteed, bringing a club from Manaus, for 1 match can never be financially feasible!
Respectively yours,
Lester Sealey
