Dear Editor,
I commend Mr Wayne Forde, President of Fruta Conquerors for publicly stating in your news print on April 3rd 2014 that he is not in support of a no confidence motion against the President of GFF, Mr Matthias.
It is important to look further beyond this proposed intent of the plotters/authors of this motion for it’s more than what is revealed. It is public knowledge that these two associations East Coast and East Bank, who allegedly filed the no confidence motion, recently had their respective election which resulted in new office holders. I commend these associations for executing an election in which the democratic process was excised. This process did however present the opportunity for individuals of the Klass regime to skillfully maneuver their way into these associations holding influential positions.
So the question is, why would they venture to attempt to dethrone the president of the GFF and they have not even served their association for 6 months as yet? Why are they so afraid of Mr Matthias at the GFF? Is there something they want to remain a secret? Is he not working fast enough to rid the massive debt he inherited from years of mismanagement and questionable financial undertakings by his predecessors? Does this office have some remarkable sweetness they are afraid he will discover?
Did they tell these things to Mr Ivan Persaud, that’s why he is bent on staying on as an executive despite not attending executive meetings? It is clear to see that Mr Persaud and his conglomerates’ intentions or hidden plans do not auger well for the development of the sport they profess to love.
On my estimation, the president is doing an excellent job despite all the unfortunate occurrences, the constant wolf in sheep clothing plots, the massive debt and all other orchestrated plans to frustrate his office.
The business of football needs people who are strong, genuine, disciplined and have a vision that will propel that positive development and Matthias is the man for the job.
