The Demerara Cricket Board (DCB) Under-19 Inter-Zone 50-Over Cricket Competition sponsored by Demerara Fire and General Insurance will bowl off today with two matches in the city.
East Coast will oppose West Demerara at Bourda while Georgetown will take on East Bank at DCC.
In the Second Round on Thursday, East Coast and East Bank will collide at Enmore with Georgetown and West Demerara locking horns at Wales.

The third and final round is fixed for Saturday with West Demerara and East Bank clashing at Wales and East Coast and Georgetown doing battle at Everest.
This insurance company opened its doors for business on December 1, 2000 and is located at 44B High Street, Kingston, Georgetown. It is registered to underwrite Property, Accident and Liability, Motor and Marine Insurances. Diamond Fire has branch offices in Port Mourant, Berbice; Springlands, Berbice and Bush Lot, West Coast Berbice.
In addition to providing insurance needs to the public, it has been contributing over the years to the development of youth cricket in Guyana through sponsorship for tournaments.
While handing over the sponsorship cheque, Assistant Manager of Diamond Fire and General Insurance Inc, Rabindranauth Basil, told DCB’s President, Raj Singh, and Treasurer, Anand Kalladeen that they are pleased to associate themselves with the Under-19 Inter-Zone competition. And they are keenly looking forward to a competitive and successful contest.
Raj Singh expressed his gratitude to the company for noticing the need to support the Under-19 boys in Demerara. He promised that everything will be put in place to make the competition a success, and added that he is hoping that Diamond Fire and General Insurance Inc. stays with the competition in the years to come.

East Bank Demerara: Daniel Barker, Deonarine Seegobin, Ryan Shun, Shelon Chapman, Asif Alli, Michael Sultan, Andrew Chung, Suraj Sankar, Vinesh Rampersaud, Ricky Debidial, Daren John, Airshad Alli, Delon Peroune, Abdel Bacchus, Stephon Browne, Julian fortune. The Manager is Johnny Azeez and the Coach is Godfrey Edwards.
Georgetown: Micheal Shalin, Sunil Singh, Sherfane Rutherford, Tiven Imlach, Clitus Johnson, Cleon McEwan, Hakeemdavi, Keon morris, Yekini favourite, Carlton Jacques, Rajendra Danraj, Steven Sankar, Kemal Savoury, Tariq Dharamlall. The Manager is Robert Adonis and the Coach is Queson Nedd.
West Demerara: Travis Persaud, Ronaldo Renee, Kevin Paul, Malcolm Hubbard, Kelvin Sewpersaud, RichieLooknauth, Narendra Persaud, Avenash Dhaniram, Keshram Seyhodan, Vickram Talmkund, Ewart Samuels, Chaitnarine Pooran, Rabindra Rooplall, Nicoli Reddy. The Manager is Omar Hussain and the Coach is Dhanpaul.
East coast: Brian Sattaur, Rudolph Singh, Devraj Chunilall, Vishwanauth Ramlakan, Gavin Moriah, Irfaan Ali, Damian Walrond, Shane Rick da Silva, Satesh Jainarine, Sahadeo Ramkhelawan, Mathew Shivtahal, Ramnarine Chetura, Travis Marcellino, Vivian Albert. The coach is Latchman Yadram and the manager is Richard Albert.
