A fine unbeaten 75 from Tagenarine Chanderpaul guided Enmore Community Centre to victory over Vergenoegen of East Bank Essequibo in a limited overs game played recently at Enmore.
Vergenoegen took first strike and scored 164 all out in 34 overs. Travis Drakes slammed 40 and A. Cameron 34. Rudolph Singh claimed 2-9 from four overs and Gavin Moriah 2-15 off five. B. Ramkhelawan and R. Heeralall supported Chanderpaul with 20 each. K. Bascom took 2-27 off seven overs.
Meanwhile, Enmore U-19 overcame East Bank Demerara U-19 by five wickets in another fixture played recently at Enmore. East Bank U-19 batted first and posted 180 all out in 33 overs. Ryan Singh led with 53 and V. Rampersaud 33. K. Sukhai captured 2-12 off two overs.
Enmore replied with 182-5 in 35 overs. Navendra Singh and R. Heeralall scored 36 and 33 respectively. D. Seegobin snared 3-40 from six overs. Enmore will take on Rose Hall community centre on Sunday in a return fixture.
