In an invited comment on today’s “Jamaica Invasion Boxing Event” at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall, Leiza Keane, Professional Boxing Manager doesn’t see how the Guyanese fighters could possibly win any fight against the invading Jamaican Pros.
“There will be fireworks this Saturday night as the four Jamaicans come to dominate the ring,” says Keane, “It’s no secret to Guyana boxing fans who Rudolph Hedge is. As his name suggests he is on the cutting edge. Sharp as a razor he will cut through his opponent leaving absolutely no doubt in your minds.”
Hedge is fighting Dexter Marques for his WBC CABOFE Flyweight Title in the main event. Hedge’s last fight in Guyana was against Elton Dharry where he gave the “Coolie Bully” a rough fight with Dharry needing to utilize every ounce of his skill to survive the hard hitting Jamaican fighter.
“Devon Moncrieff was 2013 Contender Champion” she continued, “These hands of steel will floor any opponent standing in the way of his success. He a vicious fighter and won’t give his win to anyone. He’s been out of the ring for 9 months and no matter what….Mark Austin will be defeated.”
The Austin and Moncrieff match-up is the main supporting bout in which Austin may be the underdog given the Jamaican’s credentials.
“Kemahl “The Muscle” Russell has no respect for his opponents. This future champion cannot conceive the thought of losing. This fight won’t go the 4 rounds”, the feisty manager declared.
“Toriano Nicholas will make his pro debut and come out victorious as he exerts skill and determination. We worry not about home decisions. My fighters are their own judges – have your ambulances on standby. I don’t manage losers. We train hard and prepare for warfare at any time. Get ready Guyana. We are going to give you a show you will never forget. That WBC belt belongs to Jamaica. For sure we are leaving with it!”
Keane and the Jamaican Professional Fighters arrived in Guyana on Thursday evening.
Showtime is 8:00pm tonight at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall. Admission is Ringside $3000 and Stands $1500.
