Ansa McAl Trading through their Lucozade brand has partnered with the Guyana Amateur Powerlifting Federation (GAPF) for tomorrow’s Novice and Junior championships at the National Gymnasium from 10:00hrs.
Marketing Assistant Sean Abel handed over a cheque to GAPF Vice President ‘Big’ John Edwards at the entity’s BV head office.
Abel wished the GAPF and athletes the best whilst noting that Ansa Mc al has always been a supporter of powerlifting and will continue to assist the sport and other in Guyana. Edwards expressed gratitude to Abel and Ansa McAl for their support.
The weigh-in tomorrow will commence at 07:00hrs until 09:00hrs. Some 25 athletes will be competing including three (3) females who will compete in the Novice category. Fourteen (14) males will face off in the novice division, while 10 will meet in the juniors and sub-juniors competition.
Fans can also look forward to two Guest Lifters gracing the event with their presence. Athletes who do not make the weigh-in time will not be allowed to compete. Admission is $500.
