…14 days after burning four children, wife to death
Lenus La Cruz, the father who set fire to his house at Port Kaituma, Region One on March 14 last, resulting in the deaths of his wife and four children, has succumbed to his injuries at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC).
The 50-year-old business who had sustained burns to both hands and legs died around 03:20 hrs yesterday.
It was alleged that the man doused his heavily-grilled home at Port Kaituma with petrol before setting it alight with his wife, Lurlene La Cruz, 39; their daughters, Lea La Cruz, 14; Lavette La Cruz; and sons Labron La Cruz, eight, and one-year-old Levon La Cruz inside. He was flown to the city. No charges were laid in the horrific crime as he was still hospitalised.
