The Wakenaam Cricket Umpires Association (WCUA) has send condolences to the family of the late umpire Bhawanie Persaud who passed away recently after suffering from illness on the Essequibo Coast.
Persaud served the umpiring fraternity for a number of years before his demise. Vice President of the WCUA Moses Ramnarine said that Persaud played an important role in helping to nurture the young umpires and his services will be missed.
