Hugh Ross Classic Guest Poser, IFBB Pro. Jeff ‘Classic’ Beckham held a successful session with students of the North Georgetown Secondary School (NGSS) yesterday, accompanied by Hugh Ross.
Both athletes gave the students a brief on their respective careers whilst encouraging the students to dream big, be disciplined and work hard for whatever careers they might be pursuing.
Beckham took the opportunity to share with the students and teachers that he came from a single parent home with his mother taking care of seven siblings, 2 boys and 5 girls. He told the kids that he always had a temper and was sent to counseling at the age of 14.
It was during those sessions that he was advised to take up exercising as a means of countering his temper and that was the beginning of a successful career in body building.
The 32-year-old, who is a people’s person, took the opportunity to show the students how pushups are done; the session went well but as it was heating up, it had to be cut short since the students had to write exams.
Students and teachers also took the chance to ask a few questions as well as take some photos with the big man. They were truly satisfied at the end.
The fourth Hugh Ross Classic Body Building and Fitness Show is set for this Saturday at the
National Cultural Centre with muscle flexing time set for 19:00hrs. Weigh-in time is 10:00hrs on Saturday morning.
Meanwhile, Beckham will be at Fitness Express, which specializes in health and fitness products for two hours today (14:00 – 16:00hrs). He would be available to answer any questions on fitness and nutrition athletes or members of the public might have. Fans will also have the opportunity to take a photo with Beckham.
