The University of Guyana (UG) Inter-Faculty T20 cricket competition bowled off yesterday at the UG ground,
Turkeyen with defending champions Faculty of Social Sciences beginning their title defence with a four-wicket win against School of Earth & Environmental Studies.
SEES batted first and made 103 all out off of 19 overs with Latchman Dindyal top scoring with 39. He was the only batsman to reach double figures as Dwayne Dodson had 4-6 and Keenan Ramascindo 4-17.
In response Social Sciences reached 104-6 off 16 overs with former National under-19 all-rounder Royston Alkins leading the way with 29. Melroy Stephenson supported with 27 as Floyd Rollins grabbed 2-11.
The competition continues today from 10:00hrs when the Faculty of Health Sciences face-off with the Faculty of Technology. At 13:00hrs, the Faculty of Natural Sciences oppose the Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry. Both matches will be played at UG ground.
