Kevin Griffith, the biker who lost his right arm late Monday night when his CBR motorcycle crashed into a car on Norton Street, Georgetown, is currently a patient at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC), and is in a stable condition.
Griffith, 24, of North Ruimveldt, underwent emergency surgery Monday night. He is now in the hospital’s Male Surgical Ward. His right arm was completely severed and he has abrasions on his body.
Yesterday, relatives of the injured man surrounded him while he was in tears. They refused to speak to the media
This publication was informed that around 23:00hrs Monday, Griffith was riding west along Norton Street between Victor and Chapel Streets, when he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into a stationary car on the northern carriageway.
The impact caused his arm to be ripped from his body. He and his motorcycle continued for several more feet before slamming into another vehicle. He was subsequently rushed to hospital.
