The Little DIVA Flames Female FC avenged their loss when they defeated Monedderlust Female Football Club by 2 goals to nil recently at the GFC Gd.
In the 1st game played at the #5 Ground, West Berbice in February, they lost by 5 goals to nil.
Scoring for the DIVA’s was Nat U17 player – Althea Holligan in the 19th and 39th minute.
Playing with 8 players, the Berbicians put up a good fight but they were outnumbered and out muscled by the Georgetown based girls. A third game is in the making very soon.
Meanwhile, the DIVAS have stepped up their training as they prepare to travel to Lethem, Rupununi during the Easter Period to participate in a tournament in the Brazil border town. Training will continue on Saturday and Thursday at the GFC Gd.
The club has planned some fund raising activities to raise much needed funds to offset their travelling expenses to Region 9.
