The organizers have gone the extra mile to provide top class entertainment which will climax with a guest pose by International Federation of Bodybuilding & Fitness (IFBB) Pro athlete, Jeff ‘Classic’ Beckham who arrived in the country yesterday morning and soon after paid a visit to the Chase Academy Foundation, Parade Street, Kingston, where he delivered an inspirational talk to those students.
The renowned bodybuilder said that this is his first time in Guyana and he has felt the hospitality and warmness of the Guyanese people. He also urged the students to influence their parents and guardians to support the show.
Chairman of the Hugh Ross Classic Committee, Hugh Ross, encouraged the students to concentrate on their books even if aspiring for sports excellence. “You are the future and your job is to enhance your educational opportunities which are the threshold of launching you into your dreams,” urged Mr. Ross. He further beseeched the students to remain steadfast towards their dreams and aspirations. “Discipline compounded with obedience are the ingredients to success,” concluded the bodybuilding king.
Meanwhile, Principal, of the Chase Academy Foundation, Henry Chase, acknowledged the visit of the bodybuilding icons and urged his students to pay heed to their words of wisdom. He also donated handsomely to the impending championship and one of his students, Rosheda Gilgeous, handed over a package of an undisclosed amount to the organizers who further expressed gratitude to their benefactor.
Following the individual poses, the respective category winners will compete among each other where the winner will be crowned Mr. HRC 2014.
