The Grove Playfield is the venue for tomorrow’s double header of the Stag Beer/East Bank Football Association Division One League that will see two rescheduled matches being played.
Meeting in the feature game at 15:00hrs will be Agricola Red Triangle and Soesdyke Falcons who have played two games apiece, and are on six and three points respectively.
A win for Agricola can see them moving to the top of the point’s standings with a better goal average than current leaders Timehri Panthers (9 points +6), while Soesdyke will be aiming to halt the unbeaten run of the Agricola boys who have won both of their matches as opposed to a win and a loss for Soesdyke.
Both sides have exhibited healthy offensive form, Agricola netting ten goals, one more than Soesdyke, while the latter team have been scored against five times to Agricola’s one, indicating that the Agricola boys are more solid in defence.
An intriguing match is in the making. The day’s opening fixture from 13:00hrs pit Mocha Champs against Diamond United, neither team registering a point to date, but will be eager to change that statistic.
Of the two teams, Diamond have scored once, letting four with Mocha yet to hit the network while letting in six goals.
An exciting afternoon of football is anticipated.
