The Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA) held a Special General meeting on Thursday last at Malteenoes Sports Club as ordered by Chief Justice Ian Chang following an injunction filed by Nazimul Drepaul.
The meeting was held to decide whether to Waive The Rules Of the Georgetown Cricket Association, to Provide for the Annual General Meeting (AGM) to be held outside the month of January, to set a date for The Annual General Meeting, to decide whether the 2012 elected executives will Function up to and including The Annual General Meeting set in Item 2.
Based on the ordered agenda the Members of the Georgetown Cricket Association decided unanimously, to waive the Rules of the Georgetown Cricket Association and to provide for the Annual General Meeting to be held outside the month of January in the year 2014 only.
By majority, that the Annual General Meeting is held on the 20th November, 2014 and the 2012 elected executives function up to and including The Annual General Meeting set for the 20th November, 2014.
President of the GCA Roger Harper and his Executives would like to thank the members for giving them the opportunity to continue to manage cricket in Georgetown until 20th November, 2014.
The executive is delighted that they have been given this opportunity thereby providing the players with the chance to showcase their talent and develop their skills.
