Regional 4-Day Tournament Round 4
St. John’s, Antigua – Leaders Jamaica will return to action this weekend on home soil, where they will face Windward Islands in the fourth round of the Regional 4-Day Tournament, starting today at Sabina Park in Kingston.
The Jamaicans will be looking to continue their dominance over the Windwards since the turn of the century, having won eight of the 17 matches contested during that period.
This includes three wins in the last four matches, but the Windwards will take heart in the knowledge that they have won in their opponents’ backyard as recently as five years ago, when they earned a hard-fought, three-wicket victory at the Trelawny Multiplex.
In a rare occurrence, the island of Barbados will host two matches this week, starting five hours apart. National team Barbados – under the leadership of Test opener Kraigg Brathwaite – will host long-standing sports rivals Trinidad & Tobago at Kensington Oval in Bridgetown in a day-time fixture.
A few kilometres north, Combined Campuses & Colleges, which is domiciled at the Cave Hill campus of the University of the West Indies, will tackle Guyana under the lights at the Three Ws Oval.
The rivalry between Barbados and T&T dates back to the foundations of the game in the region, but the hosts have an enviable record against the two-island republic in this format, including four straight victories in the 
last two years.
T&T however, are fresh from two confidence-boosting victories against Windward and Leeward Islands, and a few of their players have now had the experience of playing in their opponents’ club competition, so they should be fairly familiar with the opposition, if not entirely the conditions.
