Jagan softball cricket competition, Commander Road race set for Bush Lot

The Bush Lot United Sports Club would be hosting a one day softball 10/10 cricket competition and fun day for both male and female cricketers on Sunday March 23rd, 2014 at the Clubs venue, Bush Lot Sports Ground, West Coast, Berbice.
The male competition is dubbed the Cheddi Jagan Memorial softball competition, while the females will be competing for the Janet Jagan Memorial Cup.
On the same day a grand cross-country race will be held covering a distance of 3 1/2 miles and will be open to athletes from the Bush Lot, Lovely Lass and Hopetown communities.
At stake will be the Commander’s Cup sponsored by Commander of Police B Division (Berbice) Assistant Commissioner Bryan Joseph.
Winners of these competitions will be presented with trophies and cash prizes at the end of the day’s activity .The public and private sectors are invited to come on board to make this venture a success.
