Senior Superintendent of the Guyana Police Force, Paul Williams was elected to serve as the President of a recently established rugby entity when elections were held at the Guyana Police Force Sports Complex, Eve Leary Wednesday evening last. Officials are still deliberating on an appropriate name for the club but in the interim it will be known as the Guyana Police Force Rugby Club.
Corporate Service Manager of the Demerara Mutual Life Insurance Company, Berkley Wickham, was elected to serve as a senior Vice President, while Deputy Superintendent (GPF), Colin Boyce got the nod for the post of Junior Vice President.
Two other police officers, Sergeant Fiona Fredericks and Corporal Mark George were elected as Assistant Secretary Treasurer and Treasurer respectively, while Petal Adams, a Supervisor of GT&T, clinched the position of Secretary.
Youth Development Officer of the Guyana Football Rugby Union (GFRU), Troy Yhip, is the Public Relations Officer while four committee members have been installed. They are Keith Whyte, Richard James, Frederick Joe and Nyron Hassan.
