Joshua Persaud slammed a fine century as Georgetown hammered East Coast by 142 runs when the Demerara Cricket Board Inter Association U-15 50 overs tournament continued yesterday at Enmore.
Persaud hit thirteen fours in scoring 102 and got support from Alpheus Bookie with 43 and extras 33 as Georgetown batted first and scored 234-6 in 50 overs. Pradesh Balkishun and Ramdeo Basdeo took two wickets each.
East Coast were bowled out for 92 in 39.2 overs. Balkishun 17 and Anil Singh 13 were the only batsmen that reached double figures as Bookie captured 4-21, Khemchand Hardyal 3-19 and Stephon Wilson 2-15.
