Friendship Secondary School went down to Queenstown by 8 wickets when play in the Al Sport & Tour Promotions Windball Cricket Competition opened recently, at the National Park Tarmac.
Taking first strike, Friendship compiled 29-3 off the allotted overs with Tandika James and Melissa Singh contributing 10 runs apiece.
Queenstown in reply, ended on 30-2 with Shirouda Montague hitting 12.
In the Boys Division- Friendship beat Eletra’s Institute by 10 runs.
Friendship sent in to take first strike closed on 60-7 with Sunil Singh Tulsidas 25 not out with 2x6s, 2x4s, Deepakraj Persaud 10.
Bowling for Eletra’s Institute (Diamond New Scheme), Roy Ferrier and Akesh Rajanan each grabbed 2 wkts.
Eletra’s Institute in their turn at the crease was restricted to 50-4 with Akash Rajaram 31 which included 3x6s.
