The New Era/Cell Smart/Mackeson Futsal Round Robin tournament kicked off last Saturday night at the Mackenzie Sports Club Hard court and ends March 22nd. According to organiser Aubrey Major Jr., $400,000 in prize monies is up for grabs.
In the first game of the triple header, Retrieve Unknown won by a walk over. The second game saw Go Getter FC losing to Top Bannas 1 – 4. In the final game, Bloomingdale Russians crippled the Young Ballers by 6 goals to 2.
The second triple header was played on Sunday at the same venue with Pokerburg again losing by a walk over to Alikya. Hustlers really hustled goals in the nets of Cosmos to end the game at the sound of the final whistle by a 9 – 0 margin.
The last game of the evening saw the Guinness in the Street champions Silver Bullets defeating Top Bannas 7 – 1. The tournament continues at 19:00hrs tomorrow night at the same venue with another triple header.
