I want to assure Mr. Ramdhani we are with you in this struggle

Dear Editor,
The above thought clearly references how I feel when I observe the plight of Mr. Ricky Ramdhani, an ordinary upholstery worker from Grove on the East Bank of Demerara.  This father of five girls, who is allegedly at the receiving end of the corrupt and mentally bankrupt Guyana Police Force, should have been working to emancipate his children from their current condition rather than have to be protesting because the system has failed him and his family.  From the evidence this man released to the independent media, the only conclusion I can arrive at is the police are for sale and the rule of law is being used as the rule of oppression and brutality.
The poor Guyanese family is truly a remarkable institution. Their lives are so filled with suffering and horror but yet as single units they are willing to stand for what is right in such an oppressive society. What kind of country allows an institution to attack an individual like this while criminal run rampantly all over the country with such freedom? As we self-examine ourselves during this Jagdeo – Ramotar (PPP) tenure, the results are disappointing at best.  I want to assure Mr. Ramdhani, we are with you in this struggle; you are not alone.
Thank you Mr. Ramdhani, for taking justice from the oppressors, since please rest assured, the oppressors are in no position to give you justice.  Every time you are harassed, find the time to protest in front of the Ministry of Home Affairs.  Next time you will be joined by another oppressed family and another and another and before you know it, the revolution will be over and the oppressors would have been routed from the place.
