GCB/Scotiabank Kiddy cricket-Central ECD…Strathspey, Annandale and Enterprise victorious
Strathspey, Annandale and Enterprise Primary schools recorded victories when action in the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB)/Scotiabank nationwide Kiddy cricket festival continued yesterday in the Central East Coast Demerara district.
Playing at Enterprise ground, Strathspey overcame Lusignan Primary by six runs.

Strathspey batted first and scored 144-4 in 10 overs. Randy Andrews and Vadim John led with 12 each; Evald Hendricks claimed 2-5. Lusignan in reply made 138-4 in 10 overs. Andrew Killu was their leading batter with 13 and Keshawn Frazer made eight.
Annandale got the better of Company Road Primary of Buxton by two runs. Annandale managed 122-3 in 10 overs after taking first strike. John Roopnarine slammed 16; Rudolph Rambatt made 12 while Delwyn Boyce and Reckeemiah Sandy got 10 apiece. Company Road Primary mustered 120-4 in 10 overs in reply. Oniary Fredericks scored 10.
Annandale defeated Enmore Primary by 21 runs. Annandale took first knock and rattled up 187-8 in 10 overs. Delwyn Boyce stroked 18 and Shawn Roopnarine 12. Marvelyn Phillips snared 2-7 and Joshua Rahaman 2-10. Enmore responded with 166 in 10 overs losing 10 wickets in the process.
Sasenarine Harich cracked 16 while Marvelyn Phillips and Farrien Mohamed contributed 10 apiece. Shawn Roopnarine grabbed 4-10, Rudolph Ramdatt 2-7 and John Roopnarine 2-8 for the winners.
