“Pellets” suspected to contain cocaine found in body- PM
Police say that a number of ingested “pellets” suspected to contain cocaine were found in the body of Beverley Ann Gardner, the Jamaican woman who was found dead in a room at New York Car Wash and Hotel on Camp Street on January 22, last.
Though the cause of death has not been given as yet, the discovery of the pellets were made yesterday during a post mortem examination done at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC).
One day after the woman’s body was found with no visible marks of violence in the room, police issued a bulletin for her Jamaican companion, Anthony Lloyd Neville Morrison who was also a guest at the said hotel. Morrison, 36, is still on the run.
Footage from a Close Circuit Television (CCTV) helped investigators to positively identify Morrison as the man who entered the guest house with the now dead woman.
Investigations are ongoing.
