A taxi driver was shot in the buttocks when bandits hijacked his silver grey Toyota Premio motorcar last night.
Details of the incident are sketchy but this newspaper learnt that Wayne Estwick, 41, of Meadowbrook was shot by bandits who relieved him of his car.
The incident occurred on Aubrey Barker Road, South Ruimveldt.
Estwick reportedly went to the hospital where he was admitted, while a report was made to the police.
An all station message was immediately dispatched but up to late last night the car had not been recovered.
